Dr. Lipman is trained in the latest techniques in cartilage restoration and preservation, meniscus and labrum repair as well as complex ligament and tendon reconstruction. In addition, Dr. Lipman has extensive training and experience in joint replacement procedures of the shoulder, hip, and knee. Dr. Lipman is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is an assistant clinical professor at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Lipman graduated Summa Cum Laude from Bucknell University with a BA in economics and was awarded the William C. Gretzinger Prize for being the top student in the department of economics. He received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia where he graduated in the top 10% of his class. Following medical school he completed his orthopedic training at the prestigious NYU Medical Center/Hospital for Joint Diseases, consistently ranked
as one of the top orthopedic institutions in the country. Dr. Lipman then pursued further subspecialty training, completing an arthroscopic and sports medicine surgical fellowship at the renowned 3B Orthopedic Institute in Philadelphia. During this time he also received advanced training in hip arthroscopy, anterior total hip replacement and both partial and total knee replacement procedures.
Dr. Lipman is highly experienced in the treatment of athletes of all levels, having provided a full range of care to numerous recreational, amateur, professional and Olympic athletes throughout his career. He has participated in the care of numerous NYC and Philadelphia area high school and collegiate teams. He has also served as an assistant team physician in the Kansas City Royals organization at both the major and minor league levels.
Dr. Lipman brings the latest expertise and technology in nonoperative and operative management to the South Florida area directly from the nation’s most experienced and well regarded surgeons. He aspires to provide a unique and well-rounded experience to his patients, focusing not just on exceptional surgical treatment but on high quality non-operative care, effective injury prevention and overall patient satisfaction.
When not at work Dr. Lipman enjoys working out and spending time with his family.
